NEUI follows a management system with president having overall responsibility under the leadership and guidance of the Board of Directors. Based on the principles of simplicity and high efficiency, NEUI has set up a two-tier management system : institute tier and department tier. NEUI’s engineering disciplines include mining, alumina refining, aluminum reduction, carbon, magnesium & titanium, ferrous metal, environmental protection, equipment, kiln and furnace, electric power, automation, architecture, industrial architecture, structure, techno-economy, budgeting, general layout, water supply & drainage, thermal engineering, and heating & ventilation, etc.

Currently NEUI has a total of 300 employees, including 150 engineers, 40 senior engineers and 30 professors; 60 of them are with national registered engineer qualification, nearly 50 of them, dedicating to the process&equipment innovation for the long run, are with whole-process experience for technical development of Chinese aluminum industry.
